1. Woodlands Parent's party - The PTO is sponsoring a party for all Woodlands parents and families on Wed. Oct. 7th at 7pm. Come and meet the other families, welcome new parents, and enjoy refreshments. This will also be a chance to get an update from the School administration and to learn how you can get involved in helping the school thrive. Don't miss it!
2. Faith Lutheran Church Fall Festival – We would like to thank Lisa Gerios Rohl, Laura Lovett, Alaric Rohl, Gianina Lovett and Paul Bertsch for attending the Fall Festival on Saturday at Faith Lutheran Church and helping us at our information booth. Thanks also to Faith Lutheran Church for allowing us to take part in their festival and to Beth Moreau for coordinating the event. We had a number of families interested in talking to us. They were excited to know that they have other options for their children’s education in Castle Rock. For those of you who couldn’t make it - don’t worry! There will be more opportunities for you to join us in future events. Even with all our marketing and mailing efforts, we still come across many people that have never heard about Woodlands. So, please continue to spread the word, in order for our wonderful school to flourish.
3. Progress Reports – Progress Reports will be in your boxes by the end of the day on Monday. ( A handful of them were already there on Friday). Please be on the lookout for them and read through them carefully. If you have any concerns and would like to speak to any teacher, please feel free to make an appointment with them at the front office.
4. Tuition payment #3 – Tuition is due on Monday. Please make every effort to pay within the 10 day grace period. Otherwise, a $50 late fee will apply. Your itemized statement, including your lunch account, will be in your box by Monday.
5. Intermediate Fieldtrip to Glen Eyrie Tuesday, September 29th - Intermediates, please remember to turn in your permission slip, tour fee, lunch money and lunch selection to the front office by Monday, September 28th.
6. Oktoberfest at the Meadows – For those of you attending Oktoberfest at the Meadows’ Grange with Mrs. Hartz, please remember it is THIS Friday, October 2nd, from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.
7. “Portable Emma” News Article – We would like to thank the Ciafones for calling 9 News and Castle Rock News Press to cover a story on our “Portable Emma.” Not only has it brought us some good publicity, but more importantly, it has made us feel like we’ve made a difference to Emma and her family during this challenging time. Without this technology, Emma would have had a much more difficult time trying to catch up with all of her work. Thanks to Mr. Nalls and all of her classmates, we have our “Portable Emma” everyday! Please click on the link below to view the article. We will let you know when the 9 News story aires.
