1. Tuition

Tuition payment #3 is Due September 28. Please remember to write in the “memo” section of your check what the amount is for. This is especially helpful when paying for multiple items (i.e. $10/Swan Lake, $25/lunch acct, $100/girls choir, etc). A $50 late fee will apply after 10 calendar days. THANK YOU.

2. Ballet
SWAN LAKE: October 6th, intermediate and middle school students will be going to see Swan Lake. Cost per student is $10 per student. Bring a disposable sack lunch and a snack for intermission. We will leave school at 10:00 am. The show begins at 10:30 am and we will return to the school at approximately 2:30. Students will attend first and last classes of the day. Permission slip (attached) & payment should be returned by SEPT. 30th

3.Symphony
November 10th is the “all-school” symphony trip. It is a GREAT opportunity to experience a different style of music. More details will be forthcoming.

4. Election Guidelines
Election Guidelines for Candidates for Student Office

1. You may bring in and put up two (2) posters describing yourself and your candidacy. You may NOT attack opponents. You MAY say why people should vote for you, but you may NOT say why they shouldn’t vote for someone else.
2. You may bring in treats to be served on Election Day during lunch. The treats may NOT indicate which candidate brought them, either directly (written in icing, etc.) or on a label. They are not bribes to persuade people to vote for you. They are expressions of gratitude to people for participating in the election process. Please try to keep the treats relatively healthy. If the treats are unusual in some way—gluten free, sugar free, etc.—please say so on a label. Although we have no serious nut allergies, we do have some mild to moderate dietary intolerances; please indicate the presence of nuts or dairy on a label.
3. Each candidate will make a speech during lunch. You may NOT insult other candidates. You may NOT make impossible promises (for example, solve the health care crisis, balance the national budget, pay off the deficit, bring about world peace); you MAY say what you will do if you are elected. Your speech should show that you understand the duties of the office you are seeking.
4. Anyone caught defacing another candidate’s posters or insulting another candidate will be removed from the race immediately. If it is discovered afterwards, the person will be removed from office.
5. You MUST have fun!
